NEVER WORK WITH ANIMALS OR CHILDREN they say!
Well if you have ever attempted photographing either children or animals then you know one of the key elements at being successful would have to be patience!...and of course a generous supply of BABY WIPES!
With the arrival today of my lovely new photo booth, for taking the perfect shots of my Fibre Stock, the first item to go into it was a cow!...At this point those that know me well will be thinking "Well yes, she probably did get a cow in the house!"...but I reassure you all, my booth is only small. It was our smallest Shepherdess who in fact provided the first participent! So a small toy farm animal cow entered into our little light box and became the focus of my lens, to the sound of "Can I get in it too Mummy?". Portrait shots of the said cow completed, then naturally next on my list was one of our chicklets from the Utility Room Brooder!
Now this is a little Silkie Chick, who is about 2 weeks old now and is feathering up nicely. For those of you who are not familiar with Silkies they have an extra 5th toe compared to regular chickens who only have 4!
Once inside he settled quickly observing his surroundings and in true chicken style, pooped just as I took my best shot! Typically after I had taken it, our little chick then decided he had enough already and wanted out. Fortunately my Photography and Photoshop background have held me in good stead!
So the Moral of this story is you need to learn how to "Poop Pick on your Photos" then I can highly recommend Pic Monkey and their wonderful editing tools including the Clone Tool! Though I'm sure at the time of the designing of their site that they would have never have thought it would be put to such an organic use!! HAPPY EDITING my lovelies!! XxX Naomi
